- At least 2 years of full-time experience (in the last 5 years) in:
- Self-employment in cultural activities or athletics, OR
- Participation at a world-class level in cultural activities or athletics, OR
- A combination of both.

The program covers a wide range of professions, including:
- Arts & Culture: Authors, writers, journalists, editors, translators, interpreters, librarians, curators, archivists.
- Media & Entertainment: Producers, directors, choreographers, actors, comedians, musicians, singers, dancers, visual artists.
- Sports & Fitness: Athletes, coaches, referees, instructors in recreation and fitness.
Requirements
Required Documents
Typical documents include:
- Valid passport or travel document
- Proof of relevant experience (contracts, portfolio, media coverage, awards, letters of reference, etc.)
- Educational certificates
- Language test results (if available)
- Proof of settlement funds
- Medical exam results, police certificates, biometrics
- Business plan or proposal demonstrating intended self-employment in Canada
- Proof of potential clients or contracts in Canada
