Eligibility Requirements
Work Experience
- At least 1 year of continuous, paid, full-time work (30 hours/week for 12 months) OR equivalent part-time work (15 hours/week for 24 months).
- Experience must be in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B).
- Must be completed within the last 10 years.
Language Proficiency
- Minimum CLB 7 in English or French for speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- English → IELTS (General Training) or CELPIP (General Test)
- French → TEF Canada or TCF Canada
Education
- Canadian high school diploma or higher, OR
- Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from an approved agency confirming foreign credentials meet Canadian standards.
Proof of Funds
- Show sufficient funds to support yourself and your family upon arrival (unless you already have a valid job offer or are authorized to work in Canada).
Admissibility
- You must not be inadmissible to Canada for security, medical, or criminal reasons.
Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
Candidates are scored in the Express Entry pool based on factors such as:
- Age
- Education
- Language proficiency (first and second official language)
- Work experience (inside and outside Canada)
- Arranged employment (up to 200 CRS points for senior NOC 00 jobs)
- Adaptability factors – Canadian study/work experience, spouse’s education or language ability, relatives in Canada.
A higher CRS score increases your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.

- Language test results
- Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report (if foreign-educated)
- Proof of work experience (reference letters, contracts, pay slips)

- Proof of marital status and family documents
